Getting to know the Ladies

Whether it's joining in the roll up on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings, playing in the Inter Club friendly matches or getting a bit of helpful coaching, the Ladies have a lot to offer.

Hi Ladies:
First I want to say a big thank you to everyone who voted for me to be on the Committee for the coming year – what a great turn out from the Ladies at the AGM; and many thanks to those of you who could not make it but still registered your vote. I do think it is so important that our Section has a proper voice on the Committee and so I was delighted that I was successful in securing a place. I look forward to representing your views over the coming year.
I am also absolutely delighted to be your Ladies Representative for another year. It is genuine privilege to be a part of such a friendly, fun section and I look forward to many happy times over the coming year. With this in mind, don’t forget we will be organising another Coffee Morning next year – on TUESDAY 21st MAY. So please keep an eye out for suitable raffle prizes which you would be prepared to donate. We made such a good amount for the Captain’s Charity in 2018, and I would very much like to do the same for Roy in support of his Charities: The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, and Tadley Community Responders.
Finally, I would like to tell you about a new winter competition which has recently been launched: FRIDAY AFTERNOON NINES, sponsored by Kevin Pickett, the General Manager. You pay £2 for a nine hole round (which can be the front or back 9 of an 18 hole round), but the qualifying round for the competition must start AFTER 12 NOON on a Friday. The winner will be the best 6 stableford scores entered between now and 22 February, and the winner will receive a voucher towards 2019/20 membership. You can enter as many times as you like – just sign up and pay in the pro-shop before you play. Every time you play, you will get a voucher which can be redeemed against a “special offer” in the bar on the day. So why not have a go – you never know!
That’s about all for now, except to wish you and your families a very happy festive season. I look forward to seeing you on the Course in the New Year to work off some of that Christmas cheer!!!
Merry Christmas
